Our News: Nancy and I are continuing with our follow-up eye appointments and Nancy's cancer surgery follow-up appointments. So far we are doing alright there. There are natural side effects to any surgery that are unavoidable because of how we are made. I'm sure the side effects of Nancy's cancer surgery are significant as is the side effects from our Gaul Bladder removals. Getting older is no treat but we are not doing as bad as I hear from some people. Pray for me, the doctors found the edema in my legs is from kidney disease. It does not seem to be noticeably affecting my work. I understand that it is not as serious as I first imagined. Some History: Nancy and I were both stationed in Norfolk, VA in the US Navy, where we met. We were married in the Azalea (botanical) Gardens by the airport there. I came through the Roanoke airport (where I work now) in transit, while I was in the Navy. We came through the Roanoke area on our honeymoon just a couple of years later. We loved this part of the country. I grew up in the hills of Western PA and, believe it or not, there are hills in Iowa, where Nancy grew up. When we got the chance to move here with an opening with my company, Piedmont Airlines, formerly Henson Airlines, we took the opportunity. We were on the eastern shore of Maryland and Delaware for about nineteen years before moving here. We found a house east of Roanoke, in the eastern hills around the Blueridge Mountain area, not far from the Blueridge Parkway. Our Desire and our Plea: We are looking for those who would live for the Lord Jesus Christ and obey His word. That is, we believe the word of God, as written, is sufficient for us to live by, though imperfectly, and then be able to go to heaven and be with Jesus Christ and God.
